EVIOS confirms 1.5m investment plan for prestige home charger firm Andersen EV
● New parent company, EVIOS Plc, commits £1.5m for Andersen product enhancements, customer service expansion and development of the Konnect+ app
● Robust supply chain; 160 units shipped to customers in first ten days following takeover
● Andersen EV is the preferred home charging partner for several prestige carmakers
● Revived Andersen trade portal now live for affiliates
Following its acquisition of Andersen EV last month, EVIOS Plc has outlined a positive new 12-month plan to accelerate the growth of the premium home charging firm, investing at least £1.5million in product development, refinements to the Konnect+ app and an enhanced customer service offering.
In the short term, funds will be directed to support Andersen EV’s existing 12,000-strong customer base by honouring all existing warranties, providing extended customer care hours to include weekends, and upgrades to the app, which can be downloaded retrospectively. New customers will also benefit as Andersen EV sets out a mid-term plan to develop an enhanced version of the Andersen A2 home charger in line with advancements in EV charging technology.
The existing Andersen A2 unit features ground-breaking design and premium-grade natural materials that set it apart from many rival products. Key differentiators include its minimalist aesthetic style, slimline structure, hidden charging cable and a choice of 96 user-defined variants. These include a stylish variety of unit colours, and a choice of four natural wood facias, to enable the buyer to select a personal design that fits best with their home environment.
Renewed commitment to resellers and installers
An updated version of the Andersen trade portal went live this week, offering an enhanced commission structure. This portal supports some 600 electricians who have sold and installed many of Andersen’s products to date. The trade portal will be a vital sales channel as Andersen EV focuses on scaling up the business in the future, attracting other resale affiliates and carmakers to the brand
David Martell, CEO of Andersen EV, said: “Andersen occupies an unrivalled position in the home EV charging market, and we are investing to ensure the brand, product, and overall customer experience fulfil their full potential. We ensured that the acquisition had an immediate positive outcome for existing as well as new customers, dispatching over 160 new units in just ten days. We can assure all customers that we have a healthy supply chain, and any new orders will be fulfilled usually within 48 hours.”
Martell says that over the next year, Andersen will roll out a programme of product enhancements that support the introduction of new technologies and features. “We recognise that customers have a great deal of choice when it comes to EV home chargers, but none are able to compete with Andersen in this premium segment of the market. We will ensure that the brand’s premier positioning is fostered and built upon.”
